Team insane-parts Honda 2020 | Championnat de France Supermotard 2020, la FINALE

C’est sur la superbe piste de Villars sous Écot que nous retrouvons l’ensemble du team, mis à part Jules Chambon, toujours en convalescence suite à son épaule déboîtée à Mirecourt.

Une deuxième épreuve du France qui sonne aussi comme une finale !

Avec seulement deux week-ends de course, nous avons abordé cette saison comme une mise au point de notre nouvelle organisation et l’intégration des nouvelles recrues, autant au niveau des pilotes que du staff.

Cela ne nous empêche pas d’avoir des objectifs, notamment en catégorie S2. Une catégorie qui nous tient à cœur, celle qui nous permet de préparer nos jeunes champions de demain, pour le titre prestigieux : S1.

Stéphane Salibur, troisième du classement général à l’issue de la 1ère épreuve, arrive confiant sur cette piste où il avait signé la pole position en 2019. C’était sans compter sur une lourde chute lors des essais libres qui le laisse KO quelques minutes. La suspicion d’une fracture du fémur écartée, Stéphane reprend le guidon seulement pour les essais libres de samedi. 

Plus qu’une cuisse douloureuse, le moral en a pris un sacré coup, Stéphane n’est l’ombre que de lui-même, en décrochant seulement le 4ème temps des qualifications, à 1 seconde de son temps de référence sur cette piste.

Stéphane : Un week-end avec beaucoup de retenue, je n'ai pas réussi à m'approcher de mes concurrents direct, le samedi au chrono je me retrouve à 1 sec du 1er, lors des deux manches je rate mes deux départs et ne suis pas dans mes temps chronos.

Cette saison a été très courte car elle se déroulait que sur deux épreuves et malheureusement je les ai mal gérés !

Stéphane termine 3ème de ce championnat raccourci et malgré ce week-end difficile, nous somme très fiers de cette progression au fil de ces 4 saisons ensemble, maintenant objectif 2021…

Toujours en S2, et pour cette première saison dans la catégorie au sein du Team insane-parts.com Honda, Yonel Cayol prend un bon rythme. 

Il est vrai que Yonel venait de sortir de 15 jours de coaching intensif chez Ludovic Lucquin et son programme Luc1 Academy.

Yonel : Je sors des chrono P13, c’est très serré à ce niveau. En 1ère manche P10 qui fait plaisir, en 2ème manche P11. Très belle expérience pour ma première fois en S2. J'arrive à très bien m'en sortir au départ des 2 manches, mais le de physique à manquer en fin de manche. 

Malheureusement au classement général je ne rentre pas dans le top 10 à cause de mon mauvais chrono. Je finis 12 au général à 6 points de la 10ème position. Je compte travailler mon physique et appliquer tous les conseils de Ludovic Lucquin cet hiver pour être mieux l'année prochaine.

Yonel se classe 12ème du championnat de France S2 2020.

Pour la catégorie S1, Lucas Berthoux signe le 5ème temps des qualifications. Une belle performance après le week-end difficile de Mirecourt. 

En 1er manche Lucas maintient cette 5ème position, bataillant avec un groupe de trois pilotes durant toute la course, il finira à cette place. 

Pour le deuxième départ avec la grille inversée, Lucas ne trouve pas la bonne trace pour s’extraire de la grille, il sort 9ème et but sur quelques pilotes moins rapide. Il prend un faux rythme et le manque de physique se fait cruellement sentir pour cette fin de manche, il termine 11.

Lucas : Une drôle de saison pour nous tous, avec un emploi du temps personnel et professionnel très chargé cette année, je n’ai pas travaillé le physique et très peu fait de moto. J’étais très heureux de mon 5ème temps, mais je savais que les courses serait beaucoup plus dur, je sais que j’ai la vitesse, maintenant à moi de travailler ma condition physique.

Je vais avoir beaucoup plus de temps cette hiver pour préparer comme je le souhaite la prochaine saison, plus le fait de découvrir la nouvelle Honda 450 CRF 2021, un beau challenge m’attend !

Lucas termine 8ème du championnat 2020, à seulement 6 point du TOP 5 !

Le Team insane-parts.com Honda : staff technique, management, communication, pilotes, mécaniciens, intendance et restauration, c'est une quinzaine de passionnées chaque week-end de course.

Villars Sous Ecot, the final of the 2020 French Supermoto championship.

It is on the superb piste at Villars sous Ecot that we find the whole team, apart from Jules Chambon, still recovering from his debilitated shoulder at Mirecourt.

A second event for France which also sounds like a final!

With only two racing weekends, we have approached this season as a fine-tuning of our new organization and the integration of new recruits, both at the driver and staff level.

This does not prevent us from having goals, especially in category S2. A category that is close to our hearts, the one that allows us to prepare our young champions of tomorrow, for the prestigious S1 title.

Category S2

Stéphane Salibur, third in the general classification at the end of the 1st round, arrives confident on this track where he had signed pole position in 2019. It was without counting on a heavy fall during free practice which left him knocked out for a few minutes. . With the suspicion of a fractured femur ruled out, Stéphane only took over the handlebars for free practice on Saturday. More than a sore thigh, morale took a hell of a beating, Stéphane is only a shadow of himself, taking only the 4th fastest time in qualifying, 1 second off his reference time on this track.

Stéphane: A weekend with a lot of restraint, I did not manage to get close to my direct competitors, on Saturday against the clock I find myself 1 sec from the 1st, during the two races I miss my two starts and do not am not in my lap times.

This season was very short because it only took place over two events and unfortunately I managed them badly!

Stéphane finished 3rd in this shortened championship and despite this difficult weekend, we are very proud of this progress over these 4 seasons together, now the 2021 target ...

Still in S2, and for this first season in the category within Team insane-parts.com Honda, Yonel Cayol is picking up a good pace. It is true that Yonel had just left 15 days of intensive coaching at Ludovic Lucquin and his Luc1 Academy program.

Yonel: I'm out of the P13 times, it's very tight at this level. In the 1st round P10 which is pleasant, in the 2nd round P11. Very nice experience for my first time in S2. I manage to do very well at the start of the 2 races, but the physical challenge at the end of the race. Unfortunately in the general classification I did not make it into the top 10 because of my bad time. I finished 12th overall, 6 points from 10th position. I plan to work on my physique and apply all of Ludovic Lucquin's advice this winter to be better next year.

Category S1

For the S1 category, Lucas Berthoux signs the 5th time in qualifying. A great performance after the difficult weekend at Mirecourt. In the 1st round Lucas maintains his 5th position, battling with a group of three pilots throughout the race, he will finish in this place. For the second start with the inverted grid, Lucas did not find the right track to get out of the grid, he was 9th and goal on a few slower drivers. He took a wrong pace and the lack of physics was sorely felt for the end of the round, he finished 11.

Lucas: It’s been a funny season for all of us, with a very busy personal and professional schedule this year, I haven’t worked on the physique and riding very little. I was very happy with my 5th time, but I knew the races would be much harder, I know I have the speed, now it's time to work on my fitness. I will have a lot more time this winter to prepare as I wish for the next season, plus the fact of discovering the new Honda 450 CRF 2021, a great challenge awaits me!
